2012-2013

Our main project was our first annual Copa Para las Americas soccer tournament. Partners AU hosted this event with Students Helping Honduras AU. The event had a great turnout, with over 40 enthusiastic participants and 6 teams. $150 were donated to Students Helping Honduras to help build a school in Eben Ezer, Honduras, which is a rural village in northern Honduras. Through Copa Para Las Americas, Partners AU helped Students Helping Honduras build a local school so that the children do not have to expose themselves to danger every time they want to go to school.

Fundraisers

We also had two small fundraisers at BreadSoda in the fall and Crisp & Juicy in the spring. These funds were used towards Partners AU’s general expenditures, such as refreshments for events, printing advertisements, and our official PartnersCampus charter.

2011-2012

One Laptop Per Child

We fundraised for One Laptop Per Child, an organization that seeks to educate children in underdeveloped communities by giving them $100 laptops. We had a fundraiser party at Madam’s Organ, which offers a weekly happy hour in which one dollar from every drink sold, 20% of all food sold and all the proceeds of a raffle are given to a hosted non-profit organization. With our fundraising we were able to donate $300 for three laptops.
