Parters of the Americas

Founded in 1964, Partners of the Americas is an international network of over 100 chapters dedicated to connecting individuals, volunteers, institutions, businesses, and communities to serve and to change lives through lasting partnerships.  For almost 50 years, Partners has worked to build an interconnected hemisphere that maximizes the social and economic potential, and leverages the full diversity, of the Americas.

At the heart of Partners is the “people-to-people” philosophy that grew out of a 1962 call by President John F. Kennedy for citizens of the Western Hemisphere to work together.  In accordance with that philosophy, Partners connects the Americas to address issues in fields such as education, culture, health, youth development, leadership, agriculture and economics.

Men and women from all walks of life – doctors, artists, high school students, foresters, city administrators, business owners, professors,– are part of the Partners family. Through Partners’ campus chapters, university students can now join that family and enjoy the opportunity to create and implement their own innovative development and service projects and change the lives of people throughout the Americas.
